Commentary / Comentario:

Last year the planning committee for National Latino Awareness Month presented to the members of the committee this DVD after the renew panel was done watching the DVD, A MI NO from Westchester Productions. We all agree that would be beneficial to the Latino community at the kick-off day which was September 9 2005. Later, the nurse practitioner and I decided that it was a good tool to be added to our curriculum whenever we presented AIDS 101 to the community and at different agencies.

The response that we have at the Kick-off day for National Latino Awareness month from the participants was a very positive one that is why we as agency decide to purchase the documentary “A MI NO.”

El año pasado nuestra commission de planeamiento del National Latino Awareness Month presentó a los miembros de nuestro grupo el DVD de “A MI NO.” Después de ver el documental, todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que el mismo iba a ser muy beneficioso para la comunidad hispana (Latina) para lanzar la campaña en contra del SIDA el 9 de septiembre de 2005. Así fue como la enfermera clínica y yo decidimos incorporar el documental de “A MI NO” a nuestro repertorio curricular, añadiendo así una herramienta nueva para el curso de SIDA 101 para la comunidad y las agencies que la sirven.

La respuesta de los participantes que hemos observado después de lanzar el mes del National Latino Awareness fue muy positiva y por eso es que hemos comprado el documental “A MI NO.”
