Cuban prisoner of conscience published in jail in Guantánamo

José Daniel Ferrer García has been a prisoner of conscience for the past 5 years. He was 34 when he was imprisoned by the Cuban communist regime. He has been punished in prison during the last several months for reporting from prison his views on Cuban history and the ideals of José Martí. He is a member of the Movimiento Cristiano Liberación presided by Oswaldo Payá Sardiñas.

A recording has been made of a call placed form the prison where he has been detained in Guantánamo and Las Tunas. The recording has bee placed in YouTube and we invite you to listen to it. In it you will be able to appreciate the level of tension and repression that exists in the environment where José Daniel Ferrer García lives.
